In city traffic — Vyttila to Edappally in the evening, air conditioning on, no attempt at efficient driving — the VF 6 is at its best. Regeneration does most of the braking, and the consumption figure keeps falling the slower the traffic gets. This is the environment the car is happiest in.

On the Container Road and the ORR at a steady highway pace, consumption rises, as it does in any EV. Sustained high speed, not distance, is what drains a battery.
